With so much going on in town on Saturday the 6th during the festival here is some useful info for those less mobile wanting to get into town
Taxi firms with Wheelchair friendly vehicles
KLM taxis are laying on extra taxis all weekend, if you need to book one that has wheelchair access customers should request ‘a Hackney taxi for wheelchair access’ - they are based 6, Ebenezer Place, Kettering NN16 0DE 01536 310123
Premier Taxis 26 Rockingham Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8JS Phone:01536 417858 also have disabled access taxis and you need to request when booking.
Wheelchair and Scooter Hire
Millbrook Healthcare who are 22 Meadow Road Kettering NN16 8TL Tel 0333 777 3690 option 2. rent out chairs etc - but the number is very limited for more info and to book please either call in or phone,
A manual wheelchair is £8 per day with a £50 refundable deposit, however if you require the wheelchair for than 7 days we will lower the price of the hire to £45 per week .(cash deposits preferred as easier to refund)
A boot scooter is £15 per day with a £100 refundable deposit, however if you require the boot scooter for than 7 days we will lower the price of the hire to £75 per week.
Hearing and Mobility at 3 Station Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN15 7HH Phone:01536 415373 Also hire out wheelchairs at £7.50 per day + 50.00 deposit refundable in cash or chq ( we can not take card payments for deposits ) if you require a scooter please call asap to arrange with them as limited numbers available

Please note to use disabled spaces in any car park you MUST display a current blue badge. (Click here for details of the blue badge scheme) Council run carparks allow blue badge holders to park free in all their carparks however in private car parks a charge may apply and maximum stay restrictions may apply so please check their signs when entering the car park or contact them before travelling.
The Newlands centre car park (private) on all levels close to stairs and lifts, if you present your blue badge to their customer service office they will validate the ticket and parking is free.

Dedicated disabled friendly toilets can be found at the following locations in Town,
Morrison's Supermarket McDonalds Kino Lounge The Newlands Centre (20p charge) Dalkeith Place Kettering Station, Platform 1 (Station hrs) (Midland Mainline) (radar key required) "Earl of Dalkeith", Dalkeith Place (Trading hrs) (Wetherspoons) (radar key required) Gala Bingo, High Street (Club hrs) (Gala) Kettering Council Offices
Again there may be more I am not aware of so please advise so they can be added asap.
